Mosquitoes are frequently the down side of warm holidays. You’re enjoying one of your warm caribbean holidays with the beating down and suddenly (often overnight) you find yourself covered in loads of itchy bites. It is to be expected however as in most cases, we humans are staying on their territory. That’s not to say we should accept our suffering however. Just use some of these top tips and you don;t have to let your holiday be ruined.
1.) Soap and water should be used to clean out the bite and also the area surrounding it. To give you the best chance of preventing the bite getting infected and to minimize swelling, do this ASAP. You should continue to keep all bites clean until they have gone down, especcially if your somewhere that maybe has lower standards of cleanliness such as Thailand holidays
2.) Use ice wrapped in some form of cloth and place onto bites.This will cool the surrounding area and reduce blood flow to the bite site. This will then cause general itching and pain relief as well as work to reduce the swelling effect
3.) For a natural way to reduce discomfort, use baking soda and salt. Mix the baking soda with water until it forms a paste, and then add a spoonful of salt. The baking soda will bring down swelling and the salt will decrease itching. Something that is also natural and works in pretty much the same way is aloe vera
4.) You can always use specific medications on the bite as well. A tropical anaesthetic that contains pramxomin or calamine lotion will help with irritation and pain. Some of these drugs can sometimes irritate bites so just use them on one bite at first and then see if it works.
5.) Lastly you can take oral medication to help as well.An anti-histamine will work to reduce the bodies negative response to the bite and will generally make you feel bett. Anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen do pretty much the same job but better reduce swelling

In this current time period of digital cameras, you probably think all you need to do is point and click to take great photos. Not so fast.The fact of the matter is, you can have the best digital camera, but if you have no clue in what you are doing, you are gonna take horrible shots.
I would love to give you some good tips to help you improve your photography skills. These tips are coming from years of experience as a San Diego wedding photographer. These tips all involve lighting and they are going to be some of the biggest keys to your success in taking your photos.
First great tip in regards to lighting. Now if you are taking shots outdoors during the day, natural sunlight provides some of the best lighting possible. Now you are probably thinking, “that’s easy, when you are a San Diego photographer since it is always shiny there”, when in actuality really bright sunlight can cast harsh shadows. Or it can wash out the details in faces if the sun is overhead.
Overall, you are going to want to take most of the shots with the sun behind you. This prevents the harsh shadows that can be caused by the sun.But there will be those times and instances when you want different angles to get those shadows into the shots.
Now that we know what to do during the day shots, what if you have to take some night shots?
The key to taking photos at night is turning off your flash. Of course if it is pitch black you will need it, but for times when there is lighting, you want to use the lighting that is around, but you have to make sure you set your shutter speeds slower to let in enough light.Also, stay steady when you are taking your photograph or you will cause the picture to blur.Doing these tricks should make a significantly dramatic difference when you take night shots.
The third and final tip with using lighting to capture great photos is the golden hour.There is this time that photographers like to call the golden hour or magic hour, and that is sunrise and sunset.
These times of day you wll be able to capture great shots because you will get the more warmer and inviting colors.You’ll be able to get that golden lighting that isn’t available during any other time of day.
There you go.Probably the biggest tip in taking beautiful photos is to make use of the natural lighting around you. Knowing what techniques to use for different parts of the day, or just scheduling a photo shoots to capture those times of day will help you become an excellent photographer.

After a day on the slopes, you may be wondering what there is to do for the rest of the evening. Well, don’t use up all of your energy, and leave the slopes early enough to get in a short nap – you will need all of the energy you can muster for the Aspen, CO Nite life. Aspen, CO has three basic areas: downtown, the West end, and the East end. The airlines dislike having a plane taxing down the runway with seats unoccupied by paying customers. The airlines have fixed costs to cover on every flight and they have the best chance of making a profit when all the seats have been sold, even if some were filled by offering discount airline tickets. This very fact is what motivates the airlines to make discount airfares available, so they can turn a profit and gain new customers at the same time.
Discounted flights are most often found through either travel agencies, which are also eager to gain more new clients and will work hard to find cheap fares for them, or through the reservation system of the airline itself. In fact, some of the airlines offer discounted ticket prices that are only available directly through them on their website. These are often referred to as “web only” discount tickets.
According to travel insiders, discount airfares for last minute flights can save as much as 75% from the standard price of air tickets. This is significant and opens the door for people who might not otherwise be able to travel by air. However, there is a word of caution regarding these last minute airfares. If people wait to try to take advantage of last minute discounted prices, then they might be out of luck altogether and they may not find a seat on any flight at the last minute.
And, that’s the rub when it comes to finding the cheapest, discounted airfares. Sometimes you can find terrific deals on last minute flights that almost makes it seem like the airline is giving away their air tickets. Those who have the constitution for last minute bookings are generally very experienced travelers who have flexible schedules and who can make quick decisions. They also either always have a travel bag packed and ready to go, or are able to throw a few things into a suitcase and be our the door and to the airport in under an hour from the time they land their discounted flight deals.
This approach to travel is not for the faint of heart and it is not recommended for families or groups who are trying to save money on airfares. Many times there is only one or two tickets available at the last minute. But, for those who enjoy the spontaneity and adventure of flying at the last minute and not knowing which direction they will be headed, then they can often end up taking many cheap vacations each year simply by watching for discount airfares on last minute flights.
Traveling can be exhausting especially if you have to travel at the last minute. What can you do to make the stress a little less? You should try booking your airplane fares, hotel, car rental and anything else you need for your trip. Sharm el Skeikh, or just Sharm, is one of the hottest travel destinations in the Arab world, and for good reason. It has quickly become one of the finest diving destinations in the world, and the variety of activities available to the visitor is mind boggling.

There are plenty of things for you to see and do when you visit the university city of Oxford. The river Thames and the river Cherwell run through the city and meet just south of its centre. If you have the time during your visit, you can enjoy a pleasant stroll along the banks of either of these.
There are lots of other things to do and see when you visit Oxford and here we will look at just a few of them.
1. The Ashmolean Museum is Britain’s first museum and is still thought to be one of the greatest in the world. When this museum was founded, the term museum had not been coined and its creator based it on a collection of natural history specimens brought together by John Tradescant and his son. The collection was later given to Elias Ashmole. Ashmole had a special building erected to house the collection and the museum opened its doors in May 1683. But what made this museum so special was when the Alfred Jewel was added to the collection in 1718.
As the size of the collection grew, the original building became too small and a new museum building was erected and opened in 1894. During 1908 the collection of items collected and displayed in the Ashmolean were merged with an art gallery.
2. Oxford Botanic Gardens were originally Physic Gardens that were founded by Henry Danvers in 1621 so that he as the Earl of Danby could study more closely medicinal plants. The garden cost £5,000 to create (a large sum at this time) and was built on the site of a form medieval Jewish cemetery. The plant ragwort was propagated here from seeds that came from Mount Etna. This is now the oldest surviving botanic gardens to be found in England and along with the herb and medicinal plants one can view tropical lilies, palms and other arid zone plants in the glasshouses. The gardens also feature a rock garden and a bog garden for you to explore.
3. The University Church of St Mary the Virgin is situated on Oxford’s High Street and is a very important building in the history of Oxford University. The first library for the university was established here as early as the twelfth Century.
But what makes this so important is that this is where the trial took place of the Bishops Latimer and Ridley along with Archbishop Cranmer for heresy in 1555. This group soon became known as the “Oxford Martyrs”. It is on one side of Radcliffe Square and facing it is the Radcliffe Camera. One of the buildings most notable features is the spire which contains components from when it was originally constructed in the thirteenth Century. Plus if you are willing to climb the towers 127 steps you are offered wonderful views of the city from the top.

The city of York is situated between the rivers Ouse and Foss where they meet and has been one of the UK’s most important cities for around two thousand years. The Romans founded the city in 71 AD and the town has grown and was at one time going to be the capital of England. But King Richard II was deposed before he could make this come to fruition.
Certainly there is so much history to be discovered about this wonderful city and you should set aside several days to take in all the sights when you stay in York. Here are some of the city’s attractions for your shortlist.
1. York Minister – This is England’s largest surviving medieval building and also the biggest cathedral to be found in Europe north of the Alps. This building has dominated the skyline of this city for more than 8 centuries now and is a wonderful example of gothic architecture to be found anywhere in England today.
Although you do not have to pay for entry into the main part of the Minister but to be able to enter the central tower and view the city from above an entry fee is charged. The climb up (and back!) is long but the views make it well worthwhile.
2. Jorvik Viking Centre - Celebrating York’s Viking days, which were previously discovered in a an archaeological dig in the Coppergate area of the city. The artefacts they found, including tools and clothing, date back over a thousand years. The time capsule ride attempts to recreate Viking life and you can travel back to a reconstructed Viking settlement. As you travel you have the chance to view some of the well preserved 10th Century buildings that were discovered during the time of the archaeological dig.
3. Castle Museum – This is a very popular museum with visitors to the city and offers them a chance to view what life has been like throughout the centuries in Britain. You can examine detailed reconstructions of British life and the exhibits often include original artefacts.
4. National Railway Museum – Of all the museums of this sort in the world today this is not only the largest but the most comprehensive of them as well. Through wandering around this wonderful museum one can learn about the history of railways and how they became one of our mainstream methods of transport. The museum is the home of Stephenson’s Rocket and the Mallard being the fastest steam locomotive in the world still today.
